Alistair’s class has been working on a biography project for the past few months. They had to choose a public figure, do the research on the person’s life and achievements, then build a slide-based presentation that included the relevant information, including images, and had to contain a table of contents and a bibliography.  Then they had to present their report to their class – in costume.

The in-class presesentations were on Thursday. Parents were invited to an encore presentation on Friday.

Alistair was Leonardo da Vinci. His presentation was great, handknits were well-represented in his costume, and he did a great job in speaking to his slides in front of a crowd. I was a very proud mama.

Then Saturday was April Fools Day.  On Saturdays in our house the boys get their own breakfast, so I put my plan in motion Friday night. I switched the inner bags within the cereal boxes, and replaced the leftover pizza with carrots.

Mother Nature played her own trick on us; Saturday was a cold, damp miserable day alternating between snow, sleet, and rain. Ugh

But then the sun came out on Sunday and the flowers rebounded nicely.

I believe spring is here at last.
