Once a month the boys’ school holds a restaurant night at a local establishment, where the school gets a percentage of the bill. It’s a great, easy fundraiser – parents get a night off from cooking and dishes.  The restaurants get an influx of business on an otherwise slowish weeknight. The PTO gets some always-needed cash. Everybody wins. 🙂

Between one thing and another, we don’t make it every month, but this week we were able to plan accordingly and bring my parents along for the ride too.

Back on the home front, I made sweet and spicy cauliflower to go with our steak last night. Larry and I liked it, but the boys had to be talked into eating their (very small) portions.  Oh well, you can’t win them all. But it is so pretty…

Speaking of pretty, the crocuses are starting to pop up in the front yard, so surely spring isn’t too far off.

Then again as I look out the window I see that it is starting to snow…sigh
