Yesterday was Patriots’ Day – Marathon Monday – the start of school vacation week here.

It was a gorgeous sunny spring day. We walked up to the square to see Paul Revere ride through town.

And came home to have lunch on the back porch.

Marathon Monday is a bittersweet day for me now, and likely for many others.  I’ve written about it before – here and here – and won’t get into it again.  But as I said, it was a gorgeous day, and all of the coverage was about positive, feel-good stories, so that’s a plus.  The healing continues, although the memory is not likely to fade.

On a much lighter note, Larson started youth soccer on Saturday. This is his first experience with organized sports, and I wasn’t sure how he’d react.

I needn’t have worried.  He loved it!

He can’t WAIT for the next session, and is already asking if he can sign up for the summer round as well.
