Spring is rolling into summer, and with it comes the availability of local produce.  We got our first CSA delivery on Saturday, and Larry has been checking the farmer’s market near his office weekly, checking things out.

On Friday the time was right at last – he came home with a box full of pickling cucumbers.  Not a small box, either.  On Sunday we made our first batch of pickles of the year.



Eight quart-sized jars, in two shapes and in three flavors.
