And we’re back.

The holiday break was a little more than we bargained for this year. Larry’s grandmother passed away just before Christmas, and the services were held the week between Christmas and New Year, so we were pretty hustle-bustle the entire time.

We are saddened by her passing, but at the same time, are relieved that she didn’t suffer, and feel lucky that she was with us so long – she was 85 years and a day.  She had her wits til the very end, which we are also thankful for.  Best of all, the boys had great relationships with her, and are finding comfort in the memories.  Alistair was her oldest great-grandchild, and he is feeling the loss, but every few days he comes up with another “remember that time when Nana Ginny…”

All of those things are blessings we are counting these days.
