Kitchen renovation is in full effect these past few days; between drywall and plaster, everything is covered in a thin coating of fine dust.  We are at the end of Phase 1.

Phase 2 begins Monday, so we will be emptying our cabinets over the weekend, and relying on a combination of crockpot, toaster/convection oven, electric griddle and microwave for the foreseeable future.  Which is not really as inconvenient as it sounds, just requires a little more tactical planning than usual.

All things considered, Phase 2 is a bigger portion of the house, but a much easier job; the cabinets are due to arrive on the 11th, and the contractor tells me the timing is perfect and everything will be ready for them to go right in.

I remain skeptical about that!  But it does tell me that the end is in sight.  I think we’ll be okay.
