December 2, 2014

Thanksgiving happened.  Here’s what our spatchcocked turkey looked like, fresh out of the oven.

It took a hair under 2 hours; not bad for a 15 pounder.  We’ll definitely go this route again next year.

It snowed on Wednesday and it snowed again Thursday night, so by Friday the boys were ready to go stomping around the backyard.

Other than that, it’s Christmas prep season, with a side of kitchen renovation.  I finished the last Christmas hat last night, and will block them tonight.  I have a side goal to finish a sweater by December 31 (I started it in June, ahem), so I’m resisting the urge to cast on something shiny and new and awesome.

For now.  We’ll see how long that lasts.
