Larry’s surgery and recovery notwithstanding, there has been a lot going on.

Over the past year or so there has been a surge of commercial development in our town and the one next door; a few retail/residential complexes have gone up seemingly overnight.  The stores in the latest one are just beginning to open now – they announced the brand names last summer, and we were excited to see that a Legoland Discovery Center was one of them.

We have two boys, ergo we love Lego.  I jumped at the opportunity to buy a discounted annual family pass, and we were able to attend a members-only preview day a couple of weeks ago.

Then last week was Alistair’s school’s Memorial Day concert.

In between one thing and another, I’ve had a good bit of sitting-and-waiting time, and was able to make a Wingspan.  I am probably the last knitter on earth to make one – Ravelry has 9,519 other ones as of right now.

But it was fun and not boring to knit – and look at those colors!  Guaranteed to be fun and not boring when worn.
