March 24, 2014

With all due respect to T.S. Eliot, March is the cruellest month; it’s a long and fickle month at the best of times, but this year it’s been worse longer and later than usual.

It’s a beautifully bright and sunny day today, but it’s also 20 degrees.

There is a snowstorm in the forecast, with accumulations ranging from nothing at all to 6-12 inches, depending on which channel you prefer.

Did I mention this storm is coming tomorrow?  I mean, I can handle this sort of up-in-the-airness in the five-day forecast, but it’s due to arrive in the next 24 hours.

I have seen exactly one small green thing sprouting in my front yard.  One.

I think this year March came in like a lion and seems as though maybe it will go out like one, too.
