January 7, 2014

We survived the blizzard just fine; probably got about 15 inches of snow total, but it was light and fluffy because it was so cold.  Not good for snowball fights of snowmen-making, but great for sledding.

On Friday afternoon we bundled ourselves up to the eyeballs and played out back for a while.  Larry and I had planned ahead slightly and put the kiddie slide at the top of the retaining wall dividing the yard from the driveway.

The novelty of that wore off quickly, and they switched to the sleds (with Larry as human tow rope)

The next day we walked a few blocks over to the big hill, the highlight of which excursion was Larry alllmost careening into a parked car at the bottom.  But I didn’t take any photos…except for this one on the way home.

Next post will contain a bunch of knitting; I’ve been pretty industrious.
