I had a fantastically low-key and wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.

On Saturday we came home from running errands to find a box on the porch – an early present:

Sunday’s events started at 6am, when the boys woke up and Larry shuffled them downstairs, letting me sleep til 9.

They made breakfast – eggs, bacon, and hash browns – and delivered it to me in bed, complete with freshly-picked flowers from the front yard:

Then we took a drive to the garden center, where we bought some vegetable plants, herb plants, and some perennials for the front yard:

Then back home for planting and lounging in the back yard.

Dinner on the grill and an early bedtime.

Nice, quiet, perfection.
