October 26, 2012

Here we are, another weekend in late October, another forecast of impending doom…

Last year, Halloween was postponed due to a freakishly early snowstorm.  Doubly freakish because it was pretty much the ONLY snowstorm we got all winter.

People around here still talk about the ‘perfect storm‘ – and that was in 1991.

And so now, we have Frankenstorm – aka Hurricane Sandy.  People are already stocking up on canned goods and nonperishables, and the storm isn’t even expected to make landfall in the US until at least Monday.

I do have plenty of yarn to tide me over.  I plan to charge up all electronic devices while we can, because they are almost certain to call off school at least one day next week if any of these forecasts even come close.
