I finished two little projects this past weekend.

One was the aforementioned Easter project, Sheldon the turtle:

He will go into Alistair’s Easter basket.  I have the pattern and materials all ready to begin Larson’s Easter surprise; hopefully I will get to that tonight.

The other project last weekend is for the Guild’s charity drive, caps for a local NICU.  And since Alistair spent the first week of his life in NICU, how could I possibly not participate?

This is a VitaCap, made for preemie babies.  More specifically, premature babies in NICU wards.

As you can see, the hat unbuttons almost completely, so you can lay the wee one onto the hat, arrange the flaps around any tubing or wires or monitors, and button it right into place.

I hope whomever wears this little cap, wears it for a very short time, goes home happy and healthy, and outgrows it quickly.
