I finally finished stocking #2 last night.   I don’t have a photo to show you; the weather isn’t cooperating today, but trust me, it’s done.

I need to figure out how to block the two of them so that the stitches show up properly – the yarn is acrylic, so a standard soak-and-pin isn’t in the cards.  After that, I need to figure out how to sew a flannel lining inside.

And after that (or maybe concurrently with that), I have nine ornaments and two pairs of socks to make.  Ornaments need to be done by Thanksgiving, and the socks before Christmas Eve.  I think I can make it!

In other news, we finally turned on the heat at home on Sunday.  SUNDAY !  OCTOBER 23 !  This was the latest we’ve ever turned it in, in the 6 years we’ve owned the house.   Latest by at least 10 days.  Wow.

Despite all that, there are snow showers in the forecast tomorrow night.

Welcome to New England.
