Our CSA had its last pickup this week; we got a full half-bushel of potatoes among assorted other fall veggies.  I’ve got the potatoes in a cool dark bin, in hopes of making them last through the winter. Or at least til Thanksgiving.

I took Friday off, to volunteer at Alistair’s school – it was picture day, and they processed nearly 500 kids in about 2 1/2 hours, so they needed all the help they could get.  It was more exhausting than a day in the office, but a lot of fun nonetheless – with the added perk that I was able to select the photo of Alistair that I liked best 🙂

Yesterday was my birthday, and we had the family over for (takeout) dinner.  It was nice and low-key.

Today I have a list full of seasonal chores and a couple of errands.  And hopefully some knitting time – the stocking is alllmost finished.

And once it’s complete, I have to figure out how to sew in the flannel linings.

(PS, Christmas is almost exactly two months away)
