Been a quiet few days around here.

Saturday was the local sheepshearing festival – we took Alistair a few years ago.  Larry wasn’t feeling it this time, so CC and I took Larson instead.  We met Veronica for brunch beforehand, and had a lovely hour or two poking around the vendor tents.

I was a little surprised that there were only a handful of yarn vendors, and a metric ton of jewelry and/or soap vendors.  Neither of us were inclined to buy yarn that we could easily buy in a regular shop (Cascade at a festival? really?), but we both bought handmade purses…CC bought two, in fact.

Been slacking on the knitting updates big time, haven’t I?  It’s because there’s nothing exciting to report.  I’ve been plugging away on the mystery project, which has now been revealed to be a beaded scarf.  I’m approaching the halfway mark, at which time I break the yarn and start the other half.  They’ll ultimately be grafted together.  I’ll take a picture of it soon.

Not sure I’m in love with it, but I’m enjoying the experience at least.  But I am looking forward to the next project.  I really need to get going on the Christmas stockings.
