The house never quite made it to “clean” status; in the end I settled for “mostly presentable”.  If anybody noticed or was disappointed, they had the grace to keep it to themselves.

Turns out that, despite the turkey being over an hour late (still unsure why, it went in at the usual time), and a complete lack of beer (wine, yes – alcohol, yes – but we somehow forgot to buy beer), a good time was had by all.

At the end of the day, Thanksgiving is all about counting your blessings and being grateful.  And we have so much to be thankful for…
