April 2, 2010

Here we are, Friday afternoon; I survived another crazy busy week.

I hope to have another finished object to share with you on Monday.

Tomorrow promises to be another flukey spring day – they’re calling for sunshine and 70’s – so we’re planning to head to the coast again.   This time up to Cape Ann.   Larry and I used to ride up to Halibut Point on random Sunday afternoons, it’s a great place to just relax.  The whole reservation is bordered by a rocky shoreline, and while it’s not a good place to swim since there’s no beach per se, it’s a great place to go tidepooling, and we’ve seen plenty of people snorkeling.

We haven’t been back since before the Peep was born, and I think he’ll enjoy the heck out of it.

Then on Sunday comes the big milestone of springtime in these parts – baseball’s Opening Day.  This year is a double-, if not triple-whammy:  the Red Sox’s season opener is also their home opener (usually they’re separated by a week or two), AND this year they’re kicking off the whole thing with a game against the dreaded and reviled Yankees.

Oh, plus there’s Easter dinner in the offing at Larry’s sister’s house.

Whichever way you choose to celebrate springtime, I hope you have a happy and safe weekend.

Happy Easter to you and yours. My honey’s headed to the game Sunday. Should be fun!
