Since work is kind of busy and I ripped back the Christmas socks last night, the only thing I can offer you today is a garden update.

blackberry buds

blackberry buds

We planted two blackberry canes last year, and wasn’t sure whether we’d ever get anything from them.  Looks like we’ll get at least a few berries this year.

almost-ripe raspberries

If we ever get two+ sunny days in a row, these babies will ripen up lickety-split.  We look to have a bumper crop this year.

Snow pea blossoms

Right now the snow peas look more ornamental than vegetable.

tomatoes

After a rough start, the tomatoes have rebounded nicely; a couple of them already have flowers, even.

carrots

This is our first time growing carrots, or blind items of any sort.  The shoots seem nice and frilly and full; let’s hope there are carrots under there!

grapes

We think that those things that look like grape stems are, well, grape stems.  No idea whether we’ll get any grapes this year, or if we do what condition they’ll be in.
