So, my grandmother passed away on Monday.

She was pretty sprightly up until last week, but she was 90 and went quickly and with a minimum of discomfort and suffering.

In accordance with her wishes, we held a simple graveside service yesterday.

Words are woefully inadequate at times like this, so I thought I’d share a few photos with you.  Only to find that the only ones I have electronically are the ones from my wedding.

Which are perhaps inappropriate for the occasion, but better than nothing.

She was a crocheter and a quilter, and liked to do crosswords and the Jumble.  She loved her family, but she loved LOVED her six great-grandchildren.  I will always remember her playing with the kids at Alistair’s birthday party earlier this month, and I hope they will too.
