We had a guest speaker at the meeting last night, designer Alison Green Will, which was nice; it was interesting to hear about the things that inspire a knitwear designer – as well as all the work that goes into each design  (so much swatching, knitting, ripping, knitting, ripping, swatching, ripping…).  It’s pretty easy to forget that when you’re knitting along on a well-designed and well-written pattern.

Kind of made me feel like a jerk for moaning and groaning about the Oblique, actually.  (Which was also a big hit, hooray.)

So what’s next up on the needles?   Mmmm, not really sure.  The entrelac class the got cancelled last month has been rescheduled for next Saturday, so I don’t want to start any large projects.   I think I might take a break for a few days, just go though my pattern books and my stash and see what happens.

They say it’s gonna be in the 50’s and sunny this weekend, so I’m definitely going to go outside and trim all the woody plants.  Beyond that, not really sure what’s on the agenda, but hopefully it’ll be a lay-low kind of weekend; I need it.
