I did stay home last night, and worked two more repeats on Oblique.   And since Patty asked, here’s are a couple of views.

Here’s where things stood last week:

And here’s where we’re at now:

Yeah, I know it’s not much to see.  But progress is progress, right?

I took the time at the beginning to write up a chart, since there are three different patterns at play here, and it’s been worth its weight in gold so far; aside from a small lapse during the moss-stitch decreases (which you can totally see on the left hand side up there, but I can’t be bothered), things have gone very smoothly.  I’m really happy I came back to this project.  The yarn is so cozy I can barely wait to wear it, I just know it’s going to immediately go into heavy rotation.

Today is our wedding anniversary, and between the holidays and the economy we agreed a while back to not exchange gifts this time around;   we’re just going to go out to dinner tomorrow (the Peep is going to my mother-in-law’s for the night), and try to get a few things done around the house in his absence.

Namely, dismantle the Christmas tree – we usually take it down on New Year’s Day, but here we are on the 9th and it’s still hanging around.

And go mattress shopping – the time has come to put the Peep into a big-boy bed.  With a little luck we can get one of those next-day delivery specials, and have the bed set up and in place by Sunday night.

So stay tuned for updates on that, and have a great weekend!

    Hi Dina,

    Happy Anniversary!

I stayed home last night also—working on the Placed Aran from Interweave Knits and I was just too tired to go to the guild meeting. I also wanted to tell you that today—your anniversary—is my son’s birthday! He’s 32 today! It’s a small world.
