Don’t think I haven’t been knitting these past few days; I have.

I have a finished object to show you and everything! The Purl Bee’s Mary Jane Slippers, in Karabella Aurora 8.

I can’t decide whether the indoor photos or the outdoor one shows the colors more accurately, so here you have both.

I started these last Tuesday evening, and finished them last night. I’ve never worked an attached I-Cord before, and while it’s fairly straightforward, it’s pretty time-consuming; the two aqua edges took me about four hours, total – by far the longest part of the whole process.  And I still screwed up a little on the kitchener connection at the back.  Ah well.

They’re really warm and cushy.   I imagine they’ll stretch out a bit, and I’m thinking about dipping them into some hot water to set the stitches.  But I’m pretty scared of accidently felting them, so I might just wait and see.

Next on the needles will be a belated Christmas present for my brother: a pair of fingerless gloves. Then a baby blanket (the baby’s due mid-May, so I need to get going). And then, who knows?

Nice colors on the slippers! Happy Belated to the Peep as well. Ah – 2 years old…I do miss those days. TLP will be 17 on Monday!
