By the time I got home from work yesterday I was nothing short of knackered.  I wasn’t in the mood to cook dinner, I wasn’t in the mood to eat the dinner I’d defrosted even if Larry cooked it, I sure as hell wasn’t in the mood to do dishes (since the workers didn’t show up yesterday and the dishwasher remains a monolith in the middle of my kitchen).

Larry and the Peep ate leftover beef stew, and I ate a bowl of cereal.  I’d considered oatmeal, but wasn’t willing to spend the time putting it into the micowave.

Yep, it was one of those nights.  I curled up on the couch with a glass of wine, a bag of pretzels, and the knitting, and didn’t move until after Top Chef ended at 11.

The knitting is moving right along, at least.  It’s just over 30 inches long, which is the halfway mark; I still feel like I have a shot at finishing it by the 31st.

I’m still in a bit of a funk today, too.  But I’m getting my hair cut at 1:30, perhaps that’ll snap me out of it?

If not, the anticipation of being able to use my new dishwasher tonight should do the trick…I got the call at 10:30 that “the crew” had arrived and was working away.
