Happy New Year !
It snowed here over the weekend, so the boys romped in the backyard on Sunday morning. After virtually no snow last winter, this is the first year Larson is big enough to grasp how amazingly great a snowstorm is.
We spent New Years’ Eve the way we usually do – at home with a good meal. This year it was ribeyes on the grill, dry-fried green beans, and salt-roasted potatoes. A nice bottle of wine, and a chocolate cake from Trader Joe’s finished things off.
On New Year’s Day Alistair and I took a nice long (cold) walk down to the river. On the way there we talked about the things that could possibly happen to a snowball thrown into the water, so once we were there it was time to test the theories.
No big resolutions for me this year; just a couple of guidelines: be healthier. spend less. That about covers things.
